During summer 2020, I interned with KLAS-TV’s lifestyle show Las Vegas Now. During that time, I wrote segments, created lower thirds, handled in studio guests, shadowed live shoots in the community, managed social media accounts, and communicated with the director and hosts in the control room booth. Completing an internship during a pandemic was an experience like no other but I was able to acquire the skills for the future! Below are pieces completed at my time there.

Hosts MercedesMartinez and JC Fernandez celebrate National Smores Day by talking about other outdoor staples and new ways to get outdoors. This is a block I wrote and produced Channel 8's lifestyle show newscast.

Who missed going to the movies? On my last day of my internship, I share some updates about new movie theater reopenings across the valley in a kicker I produced. I also ask hosts Roqui Theus and Lindsey Gurk about what their favorite classic movie is. Plus, a surprise from chief meteorologist Tedd Florendo!
